Over the past 3 years, we’ve won several awards, including MBAWA Medium Builder of the Year in 2022, an award we are incredibly proud of. It’s awards such as these that reward our team for their incredible efforts and dedication to delivering a positive building experience for our clients. At Domination Homes, we value our team and our customers and we believe we are industry leading in our professionalism and customer service. That’s why we are so excited to announce we have recently received the award for HIA Western Australian Professional Medium Builder/Renovator 2023. We see this award as a reflection of the work we do as a company to ensure we are offering industry-leading service for our customers, as well as supporting our staff, trades and suppliers to achieve the best work they can.
This award enters us as a nominee for the HIA Australia Professional Medium Builder/Renovator, and award that will be announced in mid-2024. We cannot wait to see the results of this national recognition and grateful to have been recognised on a national level.
Judging Organisations
Master Builders Australia
Master Builders is an organisation that has been supporting Australian builders and tradespeople since 1898. MBA assists their members in adhering to regulation. They provide advice on keeping worksites safe and how to excel within the construction industry.
MBA curates a team of judges with advanced construction knowledge to assess the quality of the home’s construction and the attention to detail and care demonstrated by the builder.
The Master Builders-Bankwest Excellence in Construction, Housing and Regional Building Awards program showcases and rewards members for demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship, commitment to building excellence, and upholding the highest professional standard.
Housing Industry Association
The Housing Industry Association (HIA) play a key role in representing Australia’s housing market and its professionals, and they have done for over 75 years. They believe in reinforcing a high standard of integrity, encouraging the industry to build sustainably and with the client in mind.
HIA Awards provide home builders and designers with the opportunity to receive recognition for outstanding projects, as well as showcase their work to the broader industry. HIA selects individuals with experience and knowledge in residential building practices to judge the annual entries thoroughly and without bias to select the winners. Winners and finalists represent the industry leaders in Perth and potentially the nation.
Their awards reflect their passion for quality housing and recognising the highest quality builders and trades across WA. Judged by a diverse range of professionals from the construction industry, the awards represent the best construction and design and showcase the best homes each year.
The Serenity

The ‘Project Home’ prize is awarded to a home built for clients based on a display home that is deemed by an esteemed panel of judges to have been of the highest calibre, designed by our team to optimise comfortable living. Two of our other designs placed as finalists in the same category; the Regal and the Hallmark. The Regal and the Hallmark are both stunning homes that use the sophisticated material palette of the Residence display home to provide clients with everyday luxury. The Serenity is a brilliant example of how the Domination Homes design team is able to overcome challenges, ultimately winning ‘Home of the Year’ in 2021. The Housing Industry Association Perth (HIA Perth) award based on design, thus the Serenity has demonstrated excellence in this field.
The Serenity’s site is at a sleep slope which was ultimately used to the designer’s advantage, resulting in a unique home ideal for those who enjoy hosting guests but still enjoy their privacy. It is based on our award winning Residence display home, demonstrating our proficiency to translate quality construction from our displays into client projects. The house’s two story design divides its main two functions, to entertain guests and provide comfort to residents. To suit the client, several unique spaces were required to be in the home, such as a prayer room and transitional mud room between the garage and the rest of the house.

The MBA WA Construction Excellence awards are indicative of projects that demonstrated incredible construction proficiency as determined by a panel of esteemed judges.
The HIA Perth awards represent the highest calibre of design each year. We were thrilled to see how many awards the Immaculate won, and it’s easy to see why. The home received accolades as the ‘Apartment of the Year’, and was awarded as a finalist for the ‘Home of the Year’, which was an incredible honour. The home was also recognised for its excellence in bathroom and kitchen design.
Prior to renovation, the Immaculate had a dated layout, with a small kitchen physically separated from the living room and small bedrooms that did not maximise the apartment’s views. The renovation provided a refined layout, prioritising high-traffic areas such as the kitchen and living, and creating a spacious master suite.
The Charpente

HIA Perth Housing 2022 Finalist – HIA Perth Townhouse / Villa of the Year
The Housing Industry Association Perth (HIA Perth) award ‘Townhouse of the Year’ to a townhouse that is deemed by an esteemed panel of judges to have been of the highest calibre specifically in design. The Charpente was acknowledged for its unique design catering perfectly to the clients, and was considered a finalist for the ‘Perth Townhouse / Villa of the Year’.
The Charpente explores the possibilities of cladding within the home, using a variety of different profiles within the design. The main feature of the home is the timber cladding in the front living room, elegantly flowing from the wall to the ceiling, surrounding inhabitants in warm, earthy tones, the perfect place to sit with a book.
The Amalfi

The ‘Best Display Home’ prize is awarded to a display home that is deemed by an esteemed panel of judges to have been of the highest calibre, providing clients with a succinct understanding of the builder’s capabilities. Master Builders Western Australia (MBWA) have a focus on construction, in which we placed as finalists in our category while the Housing Industry Association Perth (HIA Perth) award based on design, in which we placed as both a winner (Best Display Home $450,001 – $600,000) and a finalist (Golden Key for Perth Display (House of the Year 450,001 – 600,000)), thus the Amalfi has demonstrated excellence in both of these fields.
The Amalfi’s spacious open plan design is perfect for family living. A large kitchen and scullery is ideal for cooking with the kids, while a spacious backyard with a half court and minigolf ensures there is plenty to entertain them at home. Inside, a gaming hub provides the perfect place for relaxing after school, a feature unique to the Amalfi. A master suite provides respite for parents, complete with an ensuite and dedicated make up area

The ‘Best Display Home’ prize is awarded to a display home of the highest calibre that provides clients with a succinct understanding of the builder’s capabilities. Master Builders Western Australia (MBWA) have a focus on construction, in which we placed as winners in our category while the Housing Industry Association Perth (HIA Perth) award based on design, in which we placed as finalist, thus the Residence has demonstrated excellence in both of these fields.
The Residence optimises resort-style living at home, demonstrating our ability to deliver a unique design and opulent materiality. The design team have excellently integrated landscaping in the design, using it as a mode to emphasise the complexity of the home. The living space epitomises open plan living, with louvred doors creating a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces.

The showroom has kitchen and bathroom displays to express the potential possibilities of the client’s design, including standard and upgraded fixings to express the breadth of design possibilities.
The Corinthian and The Francis
MBA WA Housing Excellence Awards 2023 Finalist – Excellence in Workplace Health and Safety
The ‘Excellence in Workplace Health and Safety’ awards are indicative of jobs on-site that demonstrate incredible adherence to health and safety regulations and foster a safe working environment for all.
The Corinthian is a stunning duality of modern and classic design tropes, resulting a uniquely grand home that simultaneously feels welcoming and warm. Its beautiful masonry and archways add extra challenges on-site, making expert compliance to safety standards exceptionally important.
The Wright
MBWA Housing Excellence 2021 Finalist – Best Contract Home $450,000 – $550,000
The Master Builders Western Australia (MBWA) Housing Excellence award for ‘Best Contract Home’ is granted to a home built for clients that is deemed by an esteemed panel of judges to have been of the highest calibre with a focus on construction.
The Wright’s unique design and excellent construction both contributed to its selection for this award. Though its design, the Domination Homes team have demonstrated a proficiency for adapting to narrow lot constraints. A unique front extrusion with contrasting wooden cladding adds a unique contrast to the design. Its unique form optimises land usage, and facilitates a large open plan living area, enhancing use of family places
